October is when Petty’s Orchard is in full bloom! Hundreds of apple trees are in blossom, in colourful and varied ways. It's a sight not to be missed - and we would like to share it with HFS members and their friends. On Sunday 13th October between 2.00pm and 4.00pm, we are opening the HFS heritage apple tree orchard at Petty's for a picnic. Come to Homestead Road, Templestowe - please bring your picnic basket, rug or chair, and enjoy the atmosphere and relaxed discussion. There will be a $5 entry fee (no cards) at the gate. We will provide coffee and tea, and also conduct tours of the orchard. We hope you can come along and savour a memorable and unique orchard experience.
Please register so we can send an email, no less than 48 hours beforehand, confirming the event. It will be postponed or cancelled if conditions are poor, e.g. too wet underfoot.
