    HFS Grafting Day Preparation

This will be a special fun and social afternoon to prepare for the HFS Grafting and Tree Sales Days the following weekend. All are welcome, and no special skills are required. As ever, there will be lots to do - but lots of joy in doing it together.

    Our objectives will be:

        - Collecting, preparing and bundling scion material from the orchard for sale and grafting purposes
        - Preparing for selling trees: moving tree pots from and to the right places, and ensuring trees are legibly labelled
        - Ensuring that all materials we'll need are there, and accessible

This will be a great opportunity to experience what makes HFS really tick, learn more about the HFS collections and how we manage them, and to enjoy a social afternoon as well. Please come along to help if you can! It’s hardly essential to come for the entire afternoon: by all means, just pop in for an hour or two – every bit of effort helps. Afternoon tea and endless hot cuppas will be provided, but feel free to bring your own lunch. We’ll put up additional marquee(s) and wind protection, and do everything we can to make conditions comfortable for everyone ... but it’d be wise to rug up anyway. We hope to see you there!
